1 Jun 2001 - How to add a news item
This box is for you to type in a caption to go with a picture. If you do not have a picture then you can leave this box blank.If you have an image that you wish to put with your news item then you need to put it into your image store which is located in site settings (one of the grey buttons at the top of the page)
This box is for you to type the main news story.
The top three boxes are drop down boxes for you to select the date.
The headline is a compulsory field and needs to be at least 6 characters long.
You can also attach items to a news story (such as a newsletter or parent permission form).
You can also link from this news item to another page within your web site.
The name for this button can be changed using the button editor which is located in site settings.
If you do not have any news items it is good practice to hide the button, this is also done in button editor.
