
Valerie Huggett is the head teacher, she was previously deputy head teacher at Berry Hill School and maintains close links with them.
This year she is teaching Year 2 for 4 mornings a week which she is finding very enjoyable!

Since December 1995, Carole Greening has taught in the infant class at Littledean school. She is currently teaching Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 children . Together they make up Holly Class. Carole is busy trying to achieve Healthy Schools Status and part of this involves developing an organic garden.

Hayley Barwick joined the school in 2000. This year she is teaching 5 and 6 in Maple class.She is Special Needs coordinator and has taken on further studies to support her in this role.She has achieved her Post Graduate Certificate in Behaviour and Learning Challenge and is now in the second year of her Masters. She is also working with Carole to achieve Healthy Schools status and they have both recently been involved in hygiene and cookery training!

Laura May came to Littledean in Spring 2002. She currently teaches Y3and 4 in Chestnut Class.She is the maths coordinator and has been responsible for organising a whole range of games to support children and make maths fun.
She is also rapidly becoming a whizz at editing our home movies!

We have 8 learning support workers . Linda provides support for children in Chestnut and Maple classes as well as supporting Year 2 two afternoons a week developing their art and technology skills.
Linda also runs an extremely popular art club.

Debbie and Suzanne support the younger children in Holly Class. Debbie has recently become qualified in Signing at stage 1 and is undertaking further study to enhance her role as an LSW.
Debbie also helps Carole run a skipping club.

Suzanne has taken on responsibility for family liaison, writing Common Assessment Forms and subsequently supporting parents and their children in a variety of ways. She also establishes excellent links with pre school children's families in the locality.
Our other support workers are new to us and as yet un-photographed! They are Sarah Jane, who works in Maple Class and runs an extremely successful netball Club, our team are as yet unbeaten in the league.
Naomi who supports one of our statemented children, Natalie who supports another and Sam who also supports a child with special needs.
Chris works with children throughout the school doing reading recovery and with Maple Class. He also supports children at lunchtime and monitors fair play when they are playing football!!

Where would we be without Wendy our Secretary, Chris and Wendy our Caretaker and Cleaners, and not to forget our dinner lady Marie.
